As an electric company employee, what I see in this photo is the ominous prospect of me working 12 hour shifts on the phone with people afraid of the dark and who have no radios or enough card or board games. They just call just to call over and over again in half hour intervals!
"Thank You for calling PEPCO, how may i help you?...No ma'am I have no way of calling out to the field to see if a crew can report directly to you house to see what the problem is...I'm sorry, but you will have to wait until the exact problem is assessed so that we can dispatch the proper crew...No ma'am all of our trucks don't have the same equipment, some problems require special crews...The estimated restoration time for your area barring serious circumstances is two hours...Thank you for calling Pepco."

Wow this is beautiful. What a luminous sky. I love the electrical lines, too. I am loving your photo essay this month, Cube.
