My friend Drew has started a blog today, and I wanted to welcome him to blog-o-sphere. He can be read at:

It was Drew who gave me this photograph, that I am still trying to think of something to do with it:

Boy! That photo really doesn't do it justice. The object is MAMMOTH! I'll look up the specs and let you know later, if some kind blogger doesn't do it for me. ;)
The game is afoot!
latest anti-hurricaine technology? a new device to "cut the crap?" a pie crimper?
early entry in the macy's thanksgiving day parade? suv-gone-wild?
grince
Was it used the last time you went in for a bikini wax?
Solution: get a second. Play the best rockem sockem robots game, ever.
Incredible pic- and Phil if that were used for a Bikini wax- I'd rather go Amazon jungle for the rest of my life.
That looks painful!
The photo is actually an "earth mover" and it is built by a German company called "Krupp". (any relation to coffee pot maker?)
~ It stands at 311 feet tall and 705 feet long.
~ It weighs over 45,500 tons
~ Cost $100 million to build
~ Took 5 years to design and manufacture
~ 5 years to assemble
~ Requires 5 people to operate it
~ The bucket wheel is over 70 feet in diameter with 20 buckets,
each of which can hold over 530 cubic feet of material
~ A 6-foot man can stand up inside one of the buckets
~ It moves on 12 crawlers (each is 12 feet wide, 8' high and 46 feet long)
~ There are 8 crawlers in front and 4 in back
~ It has a maximum speed of 1 mile in 3 hours (1/3 mile/hour)
~ It can remove over 76,455 cubic meters each day (100,000 large dump trucks at 40yds. each)
Now... I want to see Phil and John use it for a rock'm sock'm bikini waxer. ::running scared:: Sharkbait, are you preferring the Amazon jungle for the Brazillian waxes? Isn't that also in the bikini area? Gotta get that brazillian before grince's suv-gone-wild video!
Nevermind... I'm going to stop before I accidentally make any sense.
Is it weird that i got a little sense of vertigo looking at that picture? I might be developing a few of cranes or maybe just large machinery...
I think it's going to be used in the new James Bond flick. Or it should be, let's say.
Looks like a promo for Saw II.
