What a beautiful version of this song! I love the various ways he stretches out the time in the melody, and the shimmering (shivering?) effect at the beginning and the end. Merry Christmas to you too!
Cyndy: I put that version up just for you, knowing you would pick up on his nuances. Isn't he just great? The brush work on the drums. The bass line. I just love this version.
Cyndy: Several years ago, I went to see the Flea Stompers (Don Peyton was in the group,) at a church on Old Georgetown Road, and they were opening for an autoharpist named Bryan Bowers. Meeting Don there was a woman who's standup bass he had repaired. I don't even know what triggered this memory. Shimmering bass lines?

Merry Christmas, Cube
KOB! The elusive KOB! Merry Christmas to YOU, in whatever airport you are stranded.
