What better way to celebrate the arrival of a record-making snow while most everyone else was in the frenzy of Christmas. I LOVE IT! You'll always remember this guy when you think about the snow of 2009.
Blondie: Hugs and kisses back. I started him on Saturday. My neighbors were like, "Why is your snowman square? (not knowing how hip he was.) Reya actually photographed a cubed snowman on her own blog. He started out as a tiki head like those mai tai drinks you get at a polynesian restaurant.
Barbara: I did manage to do a few fun things this Christmas to salvage it. I left a comment over on your blog that said I didn't "do" the holidays like normal this year, and it was a very hard decision for me to make--and yet I felt an adult decision. It haunted me a bit, that sense of "gamble" in not knowing what the future holds and what if this was my last and I blew it? I'm praying "not."
Cyndy: No drinks..just cocoa and mini marshmallows! He started off as tall as me, but rain has forced Makemake into "reduced circumstances." Let's play Esquivel's version of "Snowfall" with the squawking birds in honor of his memory.
Looks like you makemake'd your holidays the way you wanted. Good for you. I no longer celebrate the "christ" in christmas, but I still worship at the altar of red wine and great food. I made a pork pate—with ground up pork belly—for the first time. The pork belly broke the bowl of my cuisinart, but the result was wonderful. I took some neighbor Christmas dinner because she had the flu. He paid me back by snowplowing my steep driveway. A small moment of good deeds, lovingly shared! Happy happy!

He is awesome!! Wow! Very cool, Miss Cube.
All the best to you for 2010. My advice? Stop reading the obits, don't let other people suck you dry. Live it up, doll. You deserve it.
"Don't let other people suck you dry." TOP of the list, Reya. Top of the list.
P.S. He is majorly melting in today's rain, but such is life. I enjoyed him while I had him.
you and makemake ..rock on..
xoxo

Enjoy him while he lasts!
That is the best Polynesian snow head I've ever seen! I hope you had a nice tropical drink afterwards.

I'm missing the snow right now! So jealous!

Roar: We only had about two days of it. The rains came on Christmas and bye bye Makemake. :(
Home: The pork belly broke my Cuisinart? Sounds like a C&W song. I think it's lovely that you cooked for a neighbor.
